so much our record that has people freaking out, it's how we are losing. We haven't been close to competitive against good teams and even though the score was close against Utah they outplayed us by a lot. Also, let's mention Utah again, IT HAS BEEN 7 GAMES IN A ROW NOW!! It's not just this year. Anyway, our team sucks really bad but here's a few more reasons to be worried:
We're due for ESPN renewal and this boring awful play isn't going to help with negotiations.
People keep saying wait till the coach's recruits come in. Well, if we keep playing like this, what recruits are going to come? Maybe we land really good recruits, if that happens I'll be a bit more optimistic but I'm getting worried because high school kids can be fickle.
Indy isn't sustainable if we aren't winning and maybe not even then. The landscape of college football is changing and if one isn't in a P5 conference going forward then they will slowly die. Non P5 leagues will slowly become a lesser division. We aren't getting in a P5 anytime soon so things look bleak looking at the years ahead.
The way social movements are going, even the G5 conferences might not want us. BYU and LDS culture is not looked at fondly on really any college campus or administration. Falling back to plan c (G5 conference membership) might not be an option and I've already discussed indy not being viable long term which Bronco and Holmoe have publicly stated.
Anyway, there's plenty to worry about.
