BYU HC when he was here, but his abrupt and sudden dropping of CougarNation surprised me. I kind of feel a little hoodwinked, but now I can see that I simply did not understand his passion for UK. He was pretty good at hiding it. Even ripping off the suit to unveil a UK uniform went over my head and I believed he was just being fun.

It's all okay. I don't want a coach here that only sees us as a stepping stone. I don't. I understand they don't have to be bought into BYU at the same level I am, but I'd never hire someone if I didn't believe he wanted to be at BYU.

Bronco leaving was fine. He had been here near a decade and he wanted another adventure and it came at a good time for transition. That's part of what soured me about MP departure was it was so quick and without a warning and devastating to the team. Bronco stole a few recruits from BYU, some we got back as he left, but it was MP trying to take the best away from BYU and having no remorse on how that impacted the team the week before he was selling to the world just didn't sit well.

I'll be glad when we can go a bit without rehashing him over and over, but it will just be awhile until we feel a bit more stable again.
