done some business with the church. It is FRUSTRATING...MoeJoe is definitely right that profit is not their only incentive. I could never work as an employee for the church. The bureaucracy and red tape of the church is probably as bad, if not worse, than the US government.

That being said, this, in part, is what freaks me out about the possibility that they actually may make a STUPID decision here. Any rational business makes the right decision here. BYU and the church do not always work from the same baseline of rational decision making.

Financially, this isn't just about BYU football. The football program funds almost all the other sports. I really think this would have bad consequences on the whole athletic department.
