Just was going off your OP Which used the analogy of your aunt with a minor illness dying from a drug and then bringing up Hydroxychloroquine.
My mother in law went into a coma after a surgeon screwed up a minor surgery to repair a hernia. She is now in and out of hospitals, had almost 20 surgeries since that one and has very little colon left.
I would never use that example to say we should ban or limit all minor surgeries, nor would I use it as an example of not trying a drug to save someone’s life.
