Also, the Chairman of National Advisory Commission on Rural Health has recommended the drug to not only treat patients, but also as a prophylactic to protect physicians and nurses from infection.
I don't think using hydroxycholorquine as one of the treatment options is considered voodoo medicine. However, I also think if it is prescribed to a COVID-19 patient, the patient and his/her family should be aware and notify the physician if any adverse side effects start to occur.
