It was another hot day today. It feels like my best working hours are from around 7 until 1:00, then from 5:30 until 9:30 or so. I take the afternoon off to do the paperwork side of things and to figure problems out. We finished the Subfloor this morning. Then we had to move rock.
These pictures that I share show progress, but the parts that it doesn't show are the little things like the drain system I have been working on around the footings of the house. I spent myself this afternoon shoveling and wheelbarrowing washed rock to put on the pipe around the outside. But I finished it. We started into the 4th and 5th courses of blocks and rebar. This will likely take a little longer because I have to figure where to put windows and then build them to withstand a whole lot of pressure from concrete.
Two weeks ago today we had an empty hole. It is crazy how fast this has gone since we were able to focus on it. I appreciate all the thumbs up and support. It is funny, but it helps my construction motivation to know that I have to get some stuff done for my evening post on CougarBoard. Thanks.
Here is today's end of the day picture.
Here is two weeks ago. (July 11th)
