Hurry Up and Wait. It has taken a long time but I finally got a pumptruck to come out so I could pour concrete into the forms. While I was waiting we back filled the area around the foundation (Except where I have to run electricity into the house) Today we finally got to pour the cement. It was a perfect day for cement pouring. Just a light rain to keep cement off of stuff it needed to be off of. The big fear with these blocks is a blow out where you lose your concrete from the forms. We were blessed not to have to have that kind of adversity today. there were little things but mostly it all went well. My wife is making me go to Wisconsin for a family reunion next week. I love her and her family, but it is hard to leave a project. Especially knowing that the week after I get back I have to go back to my real job during the day.
Tomorrow will be busy. We have to get the pressure treated boards up on top of the cement, then we need to take down the bracing system. I think I will leave alot of the bracing in the doors and windows for a while.
Here are some pictures.
