Last March I started posting shop updates, and people seem to like them, and when I said i was building a house, people asked that I start posting updates on that as well.
This will be the first of many updates over the next 6 months as I build this house myself. There is a little trepidation that I have here, and that is that I have to admit that I have been living in a single wide for the last few years. (I graduated from USU so its okay) I have had no house payment for quite a while and I have been positioning myself to be able to do this construction.

A few years ago I bought this single wide I am in on a 6 city lots with really great mature trees. We loved the lot. Hated the house. Last year I was able to buy another property about 2 blocks away. I sold half of the property to someone else and kept 3 city lots where I could move my single wide so that my family could have a place to live while I built on the lot that we love. Hopefully this week we will move the single wide and start construction on our home.

We do have a construction loan, but my hope is that I will be able to build it for an amount that after we move into the house, we will be able to sell the single wide on the three city lots and pay off most of the construction loan. I would really like to be house payment free 5 years from now.

I am designing and building the house myself. It is crazy that they gave me a construction loan with only a bunch of hand drawn pictures, but they did.

There has actually been quite a bit of work that has already gone into this. I have had to put services in on the other lots. Strip down the single wide to move it and of course build a shop to keep all of the construction materials in.
