I suppose I was reacting to the quote from the linked post.
"IF BYU happens to get into the Big12, its over for Utah." This was offered in a recruiting context, but it seems like BYU fans have the impression that each year there would only be a couple of schools who would pose a problem for us. I'm sure this is not a universally held view, but I gather that its not an uncommon one.
