Country has more fakes than any other music genre. Nashville has always been a music production machine. Their business model is the prototype for the Beiber's, Beyonce's, and Britneys. A vast majority of the music produced in the country genre is written by someone different than the person recording and performing it. Thankfully some old-timers like Dolly Parton bucked that so there are credible songwriting artists in the country genre but holding country up as a beacon of musical purity is laughable.
George Strait is a crappy example as Dean Dillon wrote most of his stuff.
