I haven't heard enough of her songs to make a good judgment, but I lump 99.9% of
modern pop in the same trash heap. It's mostly derivative, repetitive drivel, IMO. Very little originality. Very little compositional complexity. I've written stuff of similar quality, and I don't consider myself a good songwriter by any stretch of the imagination.
