She's just not that great of a songwriter, IMO. Kudos to her for writing it, but it's just so shallow and derivative, IMO. What about Janis Joplin? Ann AND Nancy Wilson? Stevie Nicks? boorad's point was that no other female can/has touched Taylor's talent level, and that's just not true. Adele or Alanis Morissette have deeper talent than Taylor Swift. The list goes on. Taylor is mostly comparable to pop singers like Houston and Mariah Carey and Shania Twain. She stands much more favorably talent-wise next to them than she does to more talented songwriters like Janis, the Wilson sisters, or Adele.
