They do a corkscrew turn once they get over the airport so they're not within rocket range when flying over the city. On our descent, the plane rattled and had severe turbulence and dipped at a very steep angle. We had a bumpy landing but there was no damage done.
The pilots and senior leadership on the plane all got off with white faces and whispered to each other, then nervously told us it was a routine landing and walked away quickly before anybody could ask questions.
