Lavell's 7-4 and 5-6 were either on par with or better than what had happened the two years prior. Very different from taking a 9-4 and 8-5 team and turfing it. We're projected to win 5 games this year for the first time since 2004, and only the 5th time since Father Lavell built this city. The last time we sniffed this type of success we lost our coach.

Also, this is the first five, soon to be six, game losing streak since before Lavell. Historically bad results call for monumental changes.

Bronco in 2010 had a similar conundrum. They started 1-4, 2-5, and lost bad to Utah St. He made a bold move to fire Hill and it saved our season. We improved dramatically and it helped us build momentum for a 10-3 year the following season.

The offense has been bad. 14 games without 200 passing yards. Not likely to change against Miss St. Oh, and we played Utah St, a 0 win Portland St team, and multiple other lackluster teams in that stretch. Something is clearly broken on offense. We are 120th or worse in each offensive category.

Definitely time to make a change!
