Don’t know. I can’t ask the question as HR is notorious for acting like a jilted lover.

I would love to be open and overt with my boss, but the company’s actions historically in these situations dissuade me from bringing it up. And my boss is obligated to bring it to HR if I bring it up to her as she won’t want to jeopardize her career for something like this.
