it's all up to whether you feel good about it. It's in my personality that even if someone would never do the same to me I act how I want to be treated. Does this mean I could potentially get taken advantage of? Sure, but to this point in my life I can't complain about that ever happening or feeling sorry for how anything ended up. Most others seem to point to the fact that many companies would screw you over in a heart beat, that while true (though not true of all) it doesn't really have any bearing on how I act. But like I said, do what you think is right. I've never regretted making a decision that erred on the side of treating others with respect that they themselves wouldn't offer me.
