I agree with you. It will be a much more valuable lesson coming this way than later on getting real legal processes
involved.
As a former Bishop I've seen what happens when the real legal process gets involved with young men who don't realize the severity of what they are doing. I remember a young deacon whose life was totally ruined as a result. It would have been so much better if a scare would have been given to him rather than police, lawyers, lawsuits, etc. that did happen to him. So very, very sad.
