No matter how strong WCC becomes. You have put your finger on part on why some
CBers don't like the WCC. The conference could get 4 teams to the Sweet 16 in the same year and some still would not like the WCC for BYU.
Nice to see that finally brought out. But let me add that it's not only the size of the institutions/gyms but it is that they are strictly undergraduate institutions and not large graduate research universities. That is what many in our fan base rather prefer to be aligned with.
Problem is BYU is respected as just that, an outstanding undergrad university without credible, academically free graduate research programs.
And that is pretty much what the larger academic purpose is at BYU, excellent undergraduate work.
