Wasn’t D-I material, but had options. Realized that I was a much better student than athlete. Decided to focus on academics instead. Ended up at a really good law school and feel like I made the right choice. I’ll be making much more than I would have, had I chased the dream and played sports.

For a backup LB on a mid-major football team (a guy who will never have a chance to make money off the game), focusing on academics might be a really good choice.
