Thought so too. Looked like about the last guy you would expect

to quit football based on both ability and just having that motor/passion to be all over the field and be a tackling machine. Tackling machines don't walk away. My guess is he was buried on the depth chart. I don't think you walk away if you had a shot at starting or something.....not this early.
