Tom very clearly thanked the Big 12 for keeping their discussions private.
He wasn’t nor would he ever waste BYU’s resources or time to address silly, baseless rumors.
He was finally opening up publicly about a very important topic that the national, regional, and local media had been discussing for the prior few months. He knew and byu knew they had to say something considering it was pretty well universally known anyway that the big 12 was interested in byu.
