Hit the nail on the head, administration should have been aggressive, instead of passive.
We should have been holding our breath and forcing the issue.
I honestly think it was a case of working so hard on independence and the WCC that they foolishly wanted to have fun with that before moving to the big 12. Plus sounded like Samuelson was loving the feedback regarding the WCC relationships that were fostered at that time, in hindsight probably should have just keep sending the WCC members presidents monthly fruit baskets......
