But once you lose 1-2 games now there really isn't anything to play for. Whether you win 11 games with a great season or 6 games, you end up in the same bowl. No more drama, just a bunch of exhibition-feeling games.

It's all relative. People only started hating the MW when Utah went PAC-12. It made the MWC more small-time. So while I agree MWC title wouldn't be as meaningful now as it was with Utah/TCU, it would definitively give something to cheer for mid sept-dec

Everything you posted is 100% your subjective OPINION.  There's no fact.  Other people hated the MWC long before you did.  Other people still find games in October-December exciting despite the fact that there's no conference championship to play for.  Other people found little interest in rooting for a conference championship in a second tier conference.  Other people still find reason to get excited about football after the initial loss.  Therefore none of what you posted is fact.  It's 100% your own opinion.  I'm not sure how to make this any clearer.  If you can't understand this, I'm wasting my time with someone who doesn't have the capacity to understand basic logic.

After you go go around spouting off your opinion like it's fact, you then try to use the fact that the program has fallen off over the past several years and try to make the logically fallicious argument that correlation is tied to causation.  News flash:  Going back to the MWC doesn't make BYU any more attractive to potential recruits.  We won't get better by doing so.  The only thing that would change is that it would cement BYU's status as one of the second tier forgotten teams of college football, and we'd play easier schedules.  We might have an easier path to a top 25 ranking because we would only have a bunch of fluffy pansies on our schedule, but no real fan wants that.  If we want an easier schedule, then as an independent, we can adjust it.  We don't have to go dig our own grave by going back to the MWC.
