I think you are being naive about who will and won't care about it...
And you are basing that on if it's in the local and/or national news. Word still gets around regardless of what news cycle it hits. His High School coach will know about it... coaches talk to each other and word about this will spread pretty quick along the High School level... College coaches will use this information to recruits and potential transfers...
