I agree on this... 4 goals!?!?!

A point to make on this is Eakin, the man kicked out for the penalty, is our key point guy on the PK. You could see a lot of goals coming in from that area of the ice and my thought is its because Eakin wasn't out there, and the place was rocking. My wife went to the game and thought the atmosphere was incredible.

Its infuriating, but I think that Marchessault's statement relating it to the no-call for the Saints is a fair comparison to a degree.

I think the cure is to have a mandatory video review before issuing a 5-minute major, at least in the playoffs. It happened in the Carolina vs Capitals series when Ferlund was sent off. But the Canes killed the whole penalty.

Ultimately we should have killed that penalty (I'm a Knights fan), but more importantly, that was just a horrible call. The refs basically admitted they didn't see the play when they: (1) didn't call anything until they saw Pavelski down on the ground not moving; and (2) they told the Knights coach that it was a high stick to the face.

My wife told me they wouldn't show the replay in the stadium. My suspicion is that they knew they didn't want the refs to see it.
