Would you expect a penalty in that situation? Would you say, "Hey Stone, this is the playoffs, rub some dirt on it and get back out there!"

The refs were within their right to call it the way they did. Vegas fans can complain about it, but you act like that penalty automatically gave San Jose 4 goals. I know you are a new fan, but in my decades of watching the game I have never seen a team score four times on one major penalty power play. And yet the Knights still had a chance to win it in OT. So its not at all like the Saints- Rams game where the Saints were entitled to the call, it did not come, and time ran out, it would be more like if the Saints Rams game call lead to overtime, and then the Rams won in OT. The Saints had literally no chance to win that game after that missed call. Vegas was given a powerplay late, they ended up tying the game up, they had several chances in overtime and lost in overtime. Its not the same thing at all.
