The rams did win in overtime. And the saints got the ball to start. Brees was hit on the first or second play of overtime and threw a pic.

AND- the saints took the lead 23-20 AFTER the blown call with under a minute left. The defense collapsed and allowed the Rams to go down and get a game tying field goal as time expired. So yes...the Saints could still have won after the call. Plenty of chances. They didn’t do it. So...blame the saints?

And if the shoe was on the other foot I would have expected a two minute penalty for cross checking- which would get nullified upon the scoring of one goal.

And since I’m new to hockey- have you ever seen a major penalty against a road team in the third period of a contested game seven when the road team is up 3 goals and is appearing to win going away- and home team looks defeated?

The energy the sharks got from the penalty cannot be understated. And conversely, the deflating that occurred at the same time for the knights. That is why comparisons to other major penalties and goals scores aren’t really relevant. At least in this new hockey fans humble view.
