a "house payment" only exists with a mortgage, that is what it is. Once the mortgage is gone you still have expenses, like insurance and taxes, but you aren't making a "house payment" to some third party. And as I said before I understood what you meant so I didn't mock or ridicule you in that thread for using poor phrasing, I just took what you meant and let the poor phrasing go since it didn't matter to your greater point which was that even when your house is paid off you still owe money on it. You see, I get it, I got it, I accepted your meaning if not your poor phrasing.
