I agree. It is obvious what they are doing.
The fact that he is a BYU football player (public person) and got a DUI is significant and newsworthy.
But then they have to report he is a return missionary, which has nothing to do with the situation..... But then again, it is the SLTrib. Their comments are overrun with posters bashing the Church in every article, and they run a daily hit piece against the Church, because they know it gets them clicks.
