Look at 2020.  BYU plays Mich St., Minn., Stanford, Mizzu, AZ St., and Utah.  Add the likes of Boise St., USU, SDSU, and Houston and it is a schedule with 8 or so bowl teams.  So much better than the MWC ever was where a good year BYU would face 4 bowl teams.  And look at 2021, the schedule is even better. 

Too many make too much out of playing in a bowl game.  Yes.  We want to win and play in a bowl game.  But, usually that game isn't against a top 10 opponent.  Instead you get the #4 P12 team or a AAC team or such.  Not a top team.  Like last year when BYU played Western Mich in a bowl game, usually the bowl game will not be against a named brand opponent.  I like INDY because it allows BYU to play 8 or so games against bowl quality opponents.
