We have a great program. When was the last time anyone remembers feeling ecstatic about a MW win when we were there? You can’t. All our marquee wins are against teams not in MW at the time. (Think Oklahoma). We’ve moved beyond G5. It’s as simple as that. And we have a much better way of getting into P5 through independence than through G5 again. BYU is special and doesn’t need people from non-special schools telling us what we should do (no offense to those from Utah schools on here, just saying it how it is).

I’m also going to be honest about another thing. If USU goes undefeated they will not be in the playoff. Simple. If BYU goes undefeated they will have a much better shot (as long as the other teams we play play well other than their loss to us). It is also, in my opinion, more likely for BYU to go undefeated than Utah. If utah happens to go undefeated then they will most likely lose their conference championship game.

We are just one special season away from shaking up the college football world. It’s places like USU and Utah that will continue in drudgery for a good long while yet.
