I would be ok joining the american if 1) the revenue drop wasn't significant and 2) If BSU and maybe a couple other top MWC schools joined us. Maybe SDSU/Fresno. or Airforce/Colorado State. With divisions then BYU could play another P5 school on the schedule, and with a good year like our 2016 year we would possibly play for a AAC championship and possibly make a BCS game. The new conference with the best of the G5 would be able to negioate for auto BCS bid in my opinion.
East. Cincinatti, Temple, East Carolina, Tulsa, UCF, USF, Navy, Tulane, Memphis
West BYU, Boise State, SDSU, Memphis, Colorado State, Air Force, Houston, SMU,
This would be a pretty sexy football conference.
