No, you literally said “almost everyone at the D1 level is taking something”...
and I’m saying that isn’t the case and there is no way you could know that anyway. I would agree if you said some guys are, there are always people willing to try and get an advantage so they take risks, we hear about them every year getting caught and being punished so I don’t think there is any doubt at all that guys do it. And I would guess some get away with it, some coaches probably try to cover it up if they know about it, it would be foolish to think those things don’t happen when there are actual instances that we know of that did happen. But that’s a long way from “almost everyone”. I know for a fact that my 6’2” 178# QB son has not taken any. And even if he did, and somehow still struggled as much as he did to gain any size and weight despite taking stuff, he just got tested last month and was clean of any illegal and/or banned substances. In fact when he signed I told the coaches we were going to get him in with Jordan Pendleton over the winter to try and put some weight in him and they specifically told us they didn’t want him trying to put any weight on, they wanted him just like he is because that is the guy they recruited and they didn’t want him to take any sort of supplement at all other than approved protein and some stuff he’d been prescribed for an injury that had been cleared by them with the ncaa because it was from a doctor and for a legitimate injury. And they weren’t worried that Jordan was going to try to get him in anything that was banned they just didn’t want him to out on size and weight and the expense of his speed and quickness. They think he’ll naturally get bigger working out and continuing to mature and that is the better way to do it. So that’s firsthand right there. D1 kid, coaches specifically telling him not take take anything other than protein and his prescription, then he was tested just last month, no cover ups, no trying to get away with anything, just a straight up actual occurrence.
