I remember getting in to a heated debate in one of my BYU classes with a fellow
student over increasing minimum wage. She was an older student (40-50) and her argument was based off the fact that you can’t support a family on minimum wage. Of course you can’t, it’s not meant to be for someone supporting a family. If you don’t want to make minimum wage you should obtain the skills that allow you to make more. The only time I made minimum wage was bagging groceries when I was 16 I obviously didn’t plan on doing that for life so I went out and worked construction before and after my mission to pay for college.
