Stress in my opinion has a lot to do with the personality and management style of your direct supervisor. In many cases you can make next to nothing, not be doing something that’s overly difficult or complex but still have a lot of stress simply because your boss sucks. Also lower management types are usually crappy managers and/or have to have be more heavy-handed due to the type of employees they are able to hire.
