I just can't think of a player of his stature that just retired unless they were

injured or weren't going to make the team. Thats why I think its odd, because I think he had a very good chance of making the team and being a big contributer. Maybe I'm wrong on that and maybe realizing that he wasn't going to play makes the decision easier to understand. I hoped for a better ending to his story than this. This to me kind of makes it all worse. Thats just my opinion.
