I don’t buy it, sorry.
It would be another 9 months. None of what you mentions should impact him too much, additionally how cool would it be to have a son at games? I don’t buy financial demands, this is very short term, as is any travel etc.
He has had a lot of pressure on himself. He likely moved on with life. I wouldn’t blame a new wife or kid in this, as stated, he is ending his career short term anyway.
