As Greg Wrubell put it a few years ago "There's no going back, boys".
The MWC is in our rear view mirror, and that's where it's staying.
Besides, Independence is the only place where BYU football can function properly. We'll continue to draw less negative attention from radical groups like the LGBTQ, and we won't be a pain-in-the-you-know-what to a conference.
As an Independent, BYU is free to be itself - to forge its own destiny.

I don't think he was declining. There was a natural adjustment to our W-L record due to increased P5 scheduling
