Why is presenting objective data labeled a "narrative"?
What specific points are you disputing? Do you really think our recent schedules have been too tough to warrant better than .500 ball?
We have lost to teams like UMass and NIU. What "eye test" makes playing 1 FCS, 6 MW teams, 2 bottom 10 teams (UMass and ECU), a .500 Utah team, and a losing record USU team seem too "tough"? At some point you are what your record says you are, and no way dancing around the actual results.
Only those who don't want to look at the actual data are acting like we are playing the toughest schedules in all of college football. There have been tons of winnable games the last 3 seasons, and we simply haven't played well enough.

I don't think he was declining. There was a natural adjustment to our W-L record due to increased P5 scheduling
