Every year it's the same thing around here--"BYU's going to win 7-10 games. The feeling on the team is different this year," etc. Some say, "That's what it means to be a fan." Okay, but when you have high expectations for a Potato Bowl victor who has only practiced against themselves during the summer, you set yourself up for a pretty big letdown. And then you come to CougarBoard during the games to vent--and the venting sure gets ugly sometimes. This board was full of reasons why we'd have a great season two years ago, which demonstrates we don't really know very much. One of these years we will have a great season. Maybe it will be this season. But I'm going to take the careful "wait and see" approach to this year's team. Who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised. I just don't want to set myself up to be bitterly disappointed. Yes, I'm boring.
