This is one of the main reason we need to stay independent. Plus, BYU is on record saying that many of the P5 home and home games happened only because of ESPN and the tv and money.

BYU is not going to give up 10 million a year in tv revenue. Mtn West’s teams were making 1.5 million per year in tv revenue when BYU left. They can make that amount in one game if they play on ABC now. The Mnt West revenue number might be a little higher now but not close to what BYU is currently making. (Please don’t ask me to prove those numbers because we all know BYU’s polities on talking about money. But if you have even been remotely connected to this discussion in the last nine years you know that there has been several articles speaking on the estimated money BYU is bringing in and 10 to 12 million is the estimate on yearly tv revenue)

If in in time ESPN does not extend the contract with BYU I would push to take Boise St and Air Force (eyeballs) and join the AAC.
