BYU football would never recover from returning to the MWC, and would likely be
discontinued in ten years or less. Returning to the MWC would be a death sentence that would only be broadcast on Facebook. Returning to the MWC would be more humiliating than any losing season in BYU football history. If you think that ute fans are insufferable now, BYU giving up and going back to the MWC would take their arrogance and classlessness to unimaginable heights. If you think that attendance at home games is bad now, BYU giving up and going back to the MWC would reduce it to sub-USU levels. Going G5 in any conference would be the beginning of the end, but returning to the MWC is the same as saying “I give up,” putting a noose around your neck, and kicking the chair out from under yourself.

there is no good argument for us moving to the MWC before conference realignment. There might be some arguments for it
