of the season. Feels like he's making some progress and improving as a coach along the way. We need better recruiting, and with his contract in the air it's not hard to see why a player might not be into committing to him.
For me, another year of Grimes/Roderick on O and Kalani on D is worth the investment. We have a flashy yet manageable schedule next year and hopefully Ty'son back (fingers tightly crossed) and a healthy year with ZW. I expect progress on the OLine and WR group as well. If it goes bad, this small contract wouldn't be too bad to buy out (for all we know, there is a fair buy out clause written in).
I'm rooting for Kalani, but don't disagree with any of OP's points and reading through the thread, no one here has really rebutted anything with anything except for your last sentence.
