The next three years need to be significantly better than the last three years. BYU has been fighting to get back to where they were under the previous coaching staff. Some key coaches on the staff are inexperienced at their current role. So are they learning and getting better, turning a corner? Or have they been promoted to their level of incompetence, the Peter Principle? No way to know at this point. Hoping this year starts a new upward trend for the current staff.

I would have signed a shorter-term deal, 1-2 years after the season, if the team goes 9-4.
