Mine were pretty easy

Had to show up to class, and the professor would always say “now this may be on a test later...” the first time I didn’t believe him, but after the first one I never missed class, kept up with reading and it was a breeze.

I guess some could go overboard but that wasn’t my experience for however many religion courses I took.

It should just be pass / fail. You have to take them for credit, doesn't impact GPA positively or negatively.
