I'm concerned this may be the case. Heaps and Mangum's best years were...

...their first years. Then it was all downhill. Wilson has definitely followed this pattern to date. I'd hate to see coaches waste another year by just handing him the reigns without earning it. At the same time I don't know if coaches have the courage to open up the competition for QB1 and legitimately let the best player win the job.
