interesting assortment of excuses...
...you provided with no accountability for ZW. I hoped you stretched out really well before attempting these gymnastic routines! 😉

Northern Illinois - 2nd ever start as a true freshman with the coaches not opening up the playbook
This one is funny. He wasn't successful vs NIU because coaches modified the offense. Then fast forward to this year and the excuse given by many why Romney was so successful vs Boise St and their top 30 defense is because coaches modified the offense for him.

Boise State - 3rd ever start as a true freshman with a very high efficiency rating against a good team. He made a dumb play at the end, but as a true freshman that's to be expected.
Another funny one. No mention by fans that the 2018 10 win Boise St team was overrated and instead they're a "good team". Fast forward to this season and I can't count the number of times ZW apologists called this year's 12 win Boise team "overrated".

Toledo - The interception was not on BYU's last drive. BYU got the ball back with Jaren Hall as the QB
ZW had a really poor first half against one of the worst defenses in the country. In the 2nd Q alone it seemed the closer he got to the red zone the worse he was, he went 1-7 passing for 8 yds from aobut the 30 yd line on in and the only TD we scored in the first half was because Esupka took matters into his own hands and ran it in from 32 yds out.

The Toledo game in many ways exemplified ZW's issues this season. Inability to consistently execute in or near the red zone and not able to finish drives and playing down to the level of the competition.

San Diego State - not a great game for Zach, but the offensive line and offense struggled
the speed of the leader determines the rate of the pack. Seems like a common theme for ZW apologists to blame his problems on the OL yet when Romney ran the offense the OL seemed just fine. What's that all about? Maybe the OL issues when ZW plays are really ZW issues. If the QB holds the ball too long it's not the OL's fault that they can't maintain blocks for 5 seconds or longer. It's also a lot easier to hold a block if your QB moves within the pocket and isn't like a nervous white tail deer in the pocket and bolts at the first snap of a twig. OL's don't have eyes in the backs of their heads to keep track of where ZW is twisting and turning.

If ZW learned to read the D and get rid of the ball quickly like Romney does then he wouldn't have OL issues.

Hawaii - Zach had a very good game and it wasn't a QB issue that BYU lost.
ZW had a PER of 107.54 against one of the worst defenses in the country. 'Nuff said.
