Right, LOL

The state gives millions and millions of dollars to the school, which in turn subsidizes ~17% of the athletic budget. So the school could reduce its government subsidy by mere millions and millions if it quit subsidizing sports in turn. But the money doesn't go straight from the state to the athletic department, so it doesn't count as taxpayers' money?
