Seriously? Because being in the P12 and having a larger fan base (and potential
fan base) means that there are finanicial opportunities out there that can be captured by spending more. If Utah spent as much as USU it would be leaving tons of money on the table. If Utah hired Kalani and paid him what BYU is paying him it would save lots of money on salary, but on the back end would lose way more than that on lost opportunities.
