growing it's fan base and profile to at least equal to the mid to upper P5 programs (not top tier).  $$ talk and BS walks.  This was the problem the last time.  We were there but nobody else was.  I still think the B12 is our best bet and hopefuly OK or TX doesn't jump to the SEC or Big10.  Our next best option is P12 but it's not great because once again, there is nobody West of us even closely comparable to make the arguement for.  BYU would enter as one of the top programs in the P12 regarding all the measurables such as fan base, staduim/bball arean size, etc which translates to them adding to the conference rather than detracting from it.  Other than BYU maybe SDST could make somewhat of an arguement but I doubt neither USC or UCLA would ever approve.  That would be the same for the B12 with Houston.  I don't see that ever happening because of the other Texas schools.  Except maybe if we could get an LDS Houston grad to become governor of Texas... :).
